In S.S. today we watched a very interesting movie on China’s dynasty’s, from Chin to modern day China. And to tell you the truth China probably was the smartest and most intelligent country the world has ever seen.

The first emperor of China was Quin Shin Han, during his life he made the longest wall of history, the great wall of China. The great wall of china was nearly 4,000 miles long and was made from clay bricks. When Mr. Quin died a huge clay army was placed next to Mr. Quin tomb for protection in the after life, this army was latter called the terracotta army.

A couple years after Mr. Quin died the Quin dynasty fell apart and the Han dynasty began. This dynasty was when Konfuzi(Confucius) lived. Mr. Confucius was well known all over China because of his famous quotes and sayings. For example some were “like threads of silk individually we are so fragile but when woven together we make a powerful tapestry “and” do to others as you would have them do to you.”

The Han dynasty was also the beginning of the dark ages where artistic side of your brain was very important. They built fabulous cities ad thrived. The Han dynasty invented paper where they could draw on them. Then in ‘58 the Han dynasty dissolved into the Tang dynasty.

The Tang dynasty was more involved in making silk and transporting silk than any other dynasty. They made the trading rate silk road to transport silk from China to other countries. The silk road started from the capital Xian where the capital soon began turned to Beijing. The silk road had many different routes. Sadly in 960 the silk making dynasty broke apart and formed the Song dynasty.

The Song dynasty lasted till 1279 where during that time they invented two things gun powder and the magnetic compass. Marco Polo was one of the first people to wright a story on China. Marco Polo lived in Vance, Italy and traveled by the silk road and never stopped trying to get to China. Later that dynasty died out and the Ming dynasty took its place.

The Ming dynasty started the construction on the forbidden city, where all the higher ups lived. Then in 1514 Portages finally reached China by boat. Then still in the Ming dynasty Hong Kong was considered British territory. Then Hong Kong finally broke free from China and became a Chinese city once again.

Later the Ming dynasty was demolished and the Ching dynasty took it’s place.

There are so many fascinating things about China and it’s dynasty’s why don’t you visit it.

The spinal cord branches off of the brain and both of them are from the central nervous system. They both work together to keep your body alive and well. They are protected by your skull, rib cage and the vertebrae in your spine. The rest of your nervous system is called the peripheral nervous system and it is all the other nerves that branch off the spinal cord and the brain. Many of you are wondering what peripheral means and it means outside or in other words just branch off.  The autonomic nervous system are the nerves that are responsible for your involuntary muscles like your heart, eyelids, and of course your stomach. Involuntary muscles are your cardiac and smooth muscles you can not control them they are involuntary. If anything from your brain to your spinal cord gets damaged your whole body is damaged. Now you know why the nervous system is so important for you to survive.Â

In social studies we learned alot about Chinas government.   China has a comunist government which means China has only one party to vote for. For example, you wanted to start a trend in a different government and you wanted a different party other than communist you would be thrown in jail before anyone would be able to vote for you. The leaders of China have all the property and decide what to do with everything. The people really have no choice in what’s happening around China. It’s kinda like being in a dictatorship because once a leader gets in to office they’re never getting back out.Â

In the 1950-1970’s  Chinas government over the people and every building was falling apart.  In the 1970’s the government alowed free interprize in China.  Free enterprise is making more supplies and using the same amount of people in the US but paying the people less in China. For example, say Sue lived in China and Jordan lived in the US and they both had the same amount of people in their factories but Sue in China wasn’t paying the Chinese people the same amount that Jordan had to pay the US people in his business Sue would make more money because she did not have to pay her factory workers as much as Jordan did in the US. Now Sue is over in China making good money and Jordan over in the US is getting kind of jelous so Jordan moves over to China to also take part of free enterprise.               Â

In science class today we drew what each gland efected in the human body.In case you want to refresh your memory on the five major glands I’ve made a sharp study guide for you to reveiw over or study off of.

                                     Pituitary Gland

The Pituitary gland is the master gland. In othor words the Pituitary gland controlls all glands. The Pituitary gland also gives off the Hormone for the Human body groth or HGH for short. The Pituitary Gland is the size of a marble, . .pretty small!!!

                                          PancreasÂ

The pancreas is very important because it makes enzimes to help break down food in the stomach then turn the food into chime. Anyway the Pancreas also produces insulin wich alows the glucose to move from the blood on to the hungry cells.

                                         Adrenal Glands

The Adrenal Glands make a hormone called Adrenaline. This is called a fight or flight hormone. Adrenaline makes your heart beat faster. The reason why your heart beats faster is because the adrenaline releases more food stored in your liver, this often causes more sweating in your sweat glands.

                                               Parathyroid

The four parathyroids are behind the thyroid and their purpose helps you keep the right ph in your blood. They are about the size of a pea and the glands release a horomone that helps control the amount of calcium in your blood. Calcium is really important for clotting blood.  Without it you would be bleeding all the time if you got a scratch. If the parathyroids make too much calcium the bones may become very fragile and easy to break. You may be thinking that huh? I thought too much calcium is a good thing? Well you are wrong!

                                                Thyroid

The thyroid has a horomone called thyroxine. The thyroxine controls your bodies chemical reactions that happen inside your body, in other words metabolism. The thyroid however is not able to work properly if it does not have an element called iodine. If you do not have iodine the thyroid will get larger and larger.  A thyroid that has grown in size is called a goider. Good thing they are not so common today!

                                                Â

Two years ago I was walking down a dirt road in North Carolina when I saw this strange thing hiding in the shadows behind an old abandoned Tobacco barn.  I first thought that it was no big deal so I just kept walking, then it started to get scary.  This thing seemed to try to say something, like it was warning me to go home before it was to late.  I started to run home.  I was running so fast that everything was a blur and then it went blank.  The next thing I remember I was surrounded by shadowy figures and that’s when it got really weird.Â

I now tell every one I got hit by a golf club in my forehead but it’s not true.  My secrets are being revealed.  It’s just the beginning; will it ever end?
